So remember this gorgeous couple, and how I posted their photos (on May 26, 2010) but couldnโt find the bride for an interview? Well I found her, thanks to reader Crystal who tracked her down!! And here are her responses. Thanks so much Crystal! Youโre awesome ๐
So whatโs the story?
N: We met in 2003 at Norfolk State University. We were in the same Spanish class, and I ended up tutoring him. Tremaine and I were married on November 1, 2009, in Alexandria, VA. The reception was in Washington, DC.
It was an amazing day because I truly married the man of my dreams and best friend. It was also a nerve-racking day because we were initially supposed to get married outside, right on the Old Town Alexandria waterfront. The day before it was beautiful, and unseasonably warm for the end of October. Then, on the day of our wedding it rained โ there was a 100% chance of rain โ and it was freezing! I was very nervous about my hair, since I was wearing it out โ I didnโt want it to shrink up too much.
How did you wear your hair?
N: I wore my hair out, loose, with a small bouffant or bump at the front. I definitely regret that decision โ I wish I wore it up, I think it wouldโve went with the dress and the veil a little more. I didnโt have much a a choice though โ my stylist had pneumonia, and there was no one else in my party who really knows how to do natural hair.
What was your process of deciding how to style your hair?
N: I knew that I wanted to wear my hair with a bump in the front, but I also thought I would wear it out since my afro is my thing. Itโs how I wear my hair most often, and I wanted to stay true to that.
How did your family/husband/guests receive your hair at the wedding?
N: I had some good comments about it afterward. I still feel like wearing it out versus pinned or braided up somehow was not a great decision, but at least I stayed natural. However, before the wedding there were definitely a few family members who thought I should straighten my hair for the big day.
Thanks so much for sharing with us Nicole ๐ Good luck to you and hubby!
So reader Mysskay sent me a photo via Twitter (thanks girl!) and I traced it to a photosetโฆ and even though I donโt have a corresponding โnatural bridesโ interview (couldnโt find Nicoleโs contact information) I just HAD to post these!

These photos were taken by Luke Eshleman Photography. Go HERE to see the rest.
And this might be a long shotโฆ but if any of know this couple could you please email me? Iโd love to do a proper โnatural brideโ interview. The girl is Nicole, the guy is Tremaine and their wedding was in DC in November 2009.
Her style is simply beatiful, she looks so effortlessly pretty! Love the playful pictures.
Beautiful couple, beautiful photos, beautiful hair!
Beautiful shots, really.
sheโs on the brideโs cafe website lovely photos
SO AMAZING! My hubby wanted me to be a โnatural brideโ, but I gave into braids.
Good for you! This was before I found this blog and knew what I was doing, but if I knewโฆ
You look amazing!
Sheโs beautiful!
love the hair accessory, Iโve noticed a lot of natural brides using hair accessories instead of full veils, seems like they work better on afro textured hair
keep the wedding photos coming!
Gorgeous! This is the first pics I have seen of a natural bride with stretched/blown out/picked hair. I love it and it seems like a style a person could replicate on thier own. I reallyw ould prefer to do my own hair for my wedding, so this is true inspirations. @theladyโฆIโve noticed that trend too. I love them as well and will be finding some for myself when I get married ๐
I absolutely LOVE this post. What a beautiful couple and gorgeous pictures celebrating their wedding day. I canโt wait to be a natural bride :).
yea! i didnโt even see all the other photos, so thanks! absolutely beautiful

Beautiful wedding photos.
Very pretty natural bride reppin the 4b/4c hair!
Wow what a beautiful couple. Absolutely stunning. I wish you the best in your marriage.
Lovely! I particularly like the last two. The coloring gives them a vintage feel.
She looked fine for her wedding. The pictures are really cool.
Omg i canโt believe she didnโt think this was a good choice for her wedding. IMHO, the BEST hairstyle I ever saw on a 4b bride. STUNNING, true to the hair and just effortless! Sigh!

She says she regrets not having an up-do, but I think her hair couldnโt have been more perfect in the loose style she wore. So elegant.
