Where do you live?
T: My name is Tiffany. I currently reside in the beautiful sunshine state, Tampa! I work in the customer service department of a process server company.
Why did you make the decision to go natural?
T: I attempted about three years ago and failed because I gave into all the negativity around me; ALL the ‘You don’t have a good grade of hair’ and the ‘Your hair will be nappy and unruly’.

When and how did you transition into natural hair?
T: I transitioned for about 11 months. My goal was actually a year but I couldn’t take the two different textures! Sooo I decided to just do the big chop and start living… lol. I will be 1 year natural on February 23. After the big chop I felt so liberated and free. I love my natural hair and I’m not ever going back to a perm! NEVER!!!
What lessons have you learned in the process of going natural?
T: Going natural has taught me a lot about my hair and what’s good for it and what I should not use. I would say one of my biggest mistakes was putting products that contain mineral oil and petroleum jelly in my hair.
The best thing that I do for my hair is my homemade deep conditioning treatments which I usually do about twice a month with mayo, eggs and honey! It leaves my hair sooo soft!
What do you use in your hair?
T: I am a product junkie and I’m new to the natural thing so I’m just trying to find things that work for me. I actually want to add color so if you have any safe suggestions on color products.
I shampoo my hair if I feel I have build up. I use Kinky Curly Come Clean (I love this stuff), Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture or Dudu Osun Black Soap.
I co-wash every 3 to 4 days with Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner (this is a fav), Kinky Curly Knot today, Aussie 3 minute miracle, Desert Essence Green Apple & Ginger Conditioner or Giovanni VITAPRO Leave in Treatment.
For styling I use Kinky Curly products and IC hair polisher styling gel.
For daily moisture I use water, vegetable glycerin mixed with coconut oil, Carols Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, Giovanni Hair Mist (just to add a little shine) and of course shea butter
What’s your favorite style?
T: I would definitely have to say that my signature hairstyle is one side braided and the rest of my hair is in a twist-out sooo love it !
How does your hair express who you are?
T: It is wild and unruly and very different! JUST LIKE ME!!!
Beautiful! I’m loving the side part. It fits you perfectly. :-)Congrats on your transition!
I love your hair and you BC’d on my birthday ^_^

Pretty girl
I love that 2nd pic! Soo cute!
The girl is stunning. I don’t know if it’s her facial features, the hair, or how the make-up accentuate her features, but she’s really pretty. I think natural hair suits her better.
I was suggested this blog via my cousin. I’m now not positive whether or not this post is written via him as nobody else know such distinctive about my trouble. You’re incredible! Thank you!
She looks amazing but I just wanted to say Tampa is a city, not a state. Florida would be the Sunshine State.
