Nigerian Queen // Natural Hair Style Icon

Avatar • Mar 9, 2009

so i just ‘happened’ upon on n‑q’s fotki (click here) a few days ago… and was like oh. my. goodness… the first thing that amazed me is how quickly and easily she grew her hair out… the second thing that amazed me is how great she is with styling… the third thing that amazed me is how solid her regimen is (this chick makes her own coconut milk!!).
the first two photos are of kinky twist extensions… all the rest are her hair. enjoy!

now, hurry over to her amazing fotki page to see more…

Wow — beautiful — I’m heading over now — I guess I’m not going to get any work done today — I’ll just count it as research ;o)

just beautiful! The true definition of black hair. I love that many sistas are going natural, and are comfortable to rock a puff, curls, afro, poofy/

I agree.. NQ has made amazing progress in 2 years and her styles just rock! Her warm tropical location and availability of aloe vera gel, coconuts for milk/cream/oil, shea from a market stall a few feet away, bananas etc must help too. She knows her stuff though — I know people that live in such heavenly locations and still have jacked up hair, so kudos where it’s due. Fab piece, thanks!
