after a treacherous 22-hour voyage… which involved a blown out tire and emergency overnight stay at a super 8 motel… (NOT recommended!) i am in washington d.c. to cover barack obama’s inauguration for work (by way of explanation, i’m a reporter.) no, i don’t have a media pass. i don’t even have a ticket. *sigh* this was kind of a last minute thing pulled together by my editor & i. i’m going to see how close i can get to the stage, and do the best i can to cop some photos.
i’ll try to update BGLH, but if you don’t hear from me it’s cuz i’m reveling/working.
i did, however, find photos of the obamas (from zimbio) for your viewing pleasure. they began inauguration weekend with a train ride from philly to washington, d.c., stopping along the way to greet supporters.
i can’t get enough of the awesome brownness that is the obama family, and i’m sure you can’t either… so please enjoy.
***feel free to keep the discussion going on recent posts. i’ll comment once i return to regular updating. on a side note, i looove the coat michelle obama is wearing. and the two-tone purple thing. very nice, very nice.***
Dag I wish I was going, but your a reporter that’s cool, I know that job has to be fun.
